Our Mission is simple: We share what we have been given to those in need.
Established in 2008, We Share Hope began as a mission of two men giving out bread from the back of the station wagon. With its roots firmly planted in Warren, Rhode Island, this grass roots 501 (c) (3) non-profit charity has strived to help those in need with the help of many generous and philanthropic people and organizations throughout Rhode Island and much of New England. To date, we have four employees, over 75 dedicated volunteers, run a refrigerated truck six days a week, occupy a 10,000 square-foot centrally located warehouse in East Providence, and continue to grow. We are fortunate to be partnered with more than 52 churches and charitable organizations who receive food and non-food items from We Share Hope on an ongoing basis. We Share Hope is sustained through private donations and does not receive Federal funding. Along with our recipient partners, we are thankful for our generous corporate partners and their donations.
We Share Hope is a community of volunteers that donate their time, talent, and resources to improve and empower the lives of others.
We Share Hope is unique from other organizations. Our role is to locate, gather, and distribute food and nonfood items to groups that feed the poor. We act as a food bank.
We believe in changing entitlement to empowerment and restoring self dignity.
We Share Hope freely provides donated food to the homeless, families in poverty, the elderly and disabled, Veterans and the working poor.
We do not get involved with any controversial issues, politics, or religion.
